Paddler's Wildlife and History Tour:

Join experienced guides on Saturday, October 13 and Sunday, October 14 on a kayak trip down Lake River to the Bachelor Island tributary. This 8-mile round trip paddle will break for lunch on the beach at Bachelor Island. Enjoy wildlife viewing and local history as we welcome the fall migration of the Sandhill Cranes.

Cost of kayak rentals is $25 per person for BirdFest tour participants. Children under 12 are free if accompanied by an adult in a double kayak. If you are joining the tour with your own kayak or canoe, the cost is $10 per person. Check-in begins at 8:30 am on both Saturday and Sunday at Ridgefield Kayak Rentals boathouse, located at McCuddy's Marina adjacent to the Ridgefield public boat launch on Mill Street. The tour begins at 10:00 am.
