AmeriCorps Job Opportunity: Education and Restoration Specialist

The AmeriCorps Member will spend much of their time in the outdoors leading volunteer crews in habitat projects or leading Environmental Education (EE) activities. The Member will also develop and maintain contacts with community organizations, schools and agencies, to recruit volunteers and coordinate event planning. The Member will assist in the planning, scheduling, and implementation of environmental education & interpretation programs at Ridgefield NWR and will develop and administer evaluations of environmental education programs for selected classes of students. The Member selected will recruit, train, and lead volunteers in tree planting, invasive removal and habitat restoration programs at Ridgefield NWR. Term for this position is September 1 2012-July 15, 2013.
